Story is the infrastructure through which reality is constructed.
Story is the infrastructure through which reality is constructed. The stories we tell become the narratives that shape civilization, culture, and personal identity.
In Fun City, stories are treated as core infrastructure — as important as roads or energy. The more beautiful, coherent, and trust-filled the stories, the healthier the reality they generate.
Key Beliefs
1. Narrative shapes reality
What we believe about ourselves, our community, and our future literally shapes what becomes possible. A society that tells itself a story of scarcity will create scarcity. A society that tells itself a story of abundance can create abundance.
2. Stories as infrastructure
Roads carry vehicles. Pipes carry water. Stories carry meaning. All three are infrastructure.
3. Feedback loops reinforce belief
Stories told repeatedly become consensus reality. Consensus reality becomes lived reality.
4. Coherence vs. control
The goal is not to control which stories are told. It is to make sure that the dominant stories are coherent with the values we want to live by.
